From May 19 - June 30, 2008 parents from all over the US logged on to PC Local to vote for the best family friendly resources in their city-- and we WON the 2008 Nickelodeon's Parents' Picks Awards!

The Leaders for Life Camp physically and mentally challenges campers by providing from sunrise to “lights out” with fun and engaging activities with other great kids from Think Detroit PAL’s athletic leagues.  The Camp takes place at Camp Ozanam, a beautiful private camp on Lake Huron, 90 minutes northeast of Detroit.

Think Detroit PAL’s Leaders for Life Camp is designed to enhance the academics skills and personal development of athletes in its leagues. The camp curriculum is provided by Quantum Learning, which has 30 years of success in helping kids increase their motivation, confidence, and academic performance. Their results are phenomenal:

  •   73% of campers improve their grades
  •   68% of campers improve their attendance in school
  •   98% of campers continue to use the skills they learned at camp
  •   81% of campers have increased confidence
