MGM GRAND DETROIT SUPPORTS THINK DETROIT PAL’S YOUTH FOOTBALL PROGRAM
Local company invests in the Cobras and Patriots football teams
DETROIT, Mich.—Recognizing the benefits of supporting youth athletic programs in the city, MGM Grand Detroit has donated time, goods and funds to two Think Detroit PAL youth football teams. The initiative is part of MGM Grand Detroit’s "Touching Communities... Touching Lives" campaign, which is geared to make a positive and impactful different in the Metro Detroit community.
"MGM Grand’s monetary donations will go towards enhancing Think Detroit PAL’s sports programs and help us reach more kids," said Tim Richey, COO of Think Detroit PAL, "while the in-kind donation of concession items will help the Cobras and Patriots with their own efforts to build a positive family environment for their youth."
MGM Grand Detroit team members were on hand Saturday, October 9th to work concessions in support of the Cobras and the Patriots. They also participated in field cleanup before and after the game.
Along with time, MGM Grand Detroit made significant in-kind donations to both the Cobras and the Patriots football teams. The company also presented each team with a $3,500 monetary donation, and Think Detroit PAL a monetary donation of $3,000, for a total of $10,000.
Awarded the 2010 Forbes Four-Star Award and AAA’s prestigious Four-Diamond rating, MGM Grand Detroit is the city's first and only downtown hotel, gaming, and entertainment destination built from the ground up.
