Detroit, MichRenee Peck joins Think Detroit PAL as Chief Advancement Officer. “Having been raised in Detroit, I am excited by the opportunity to return to my roots and work with the dedicated staff, board members and volunteers at TDP to make a positive impact in our community.  I believe that when children have a chance to grow through the positive experiences, such as the programs provided by TDP, their success is inevitable and their future is limitless.”

Peck earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Western Michigan University and a Master of Science from Wayne State University School of Medicine.

“I’m extremely excited to have Renee Peck joining Think Detroit PAL as our new Chief Advancement Officer,” said Think Detroit PAL CEO Tim Richey. “Our organization’s ability to serve Detroit girls and boys depends on contributions from the community as a whole, and I’m confident Renee will help us gain more supporters to ultimately serve more kids.  She brings great energy and a lot of experience to an already stellar team.”

Peck serves on the Advisory Board of Sky Foundation, Inc., is a board member of Liberty Riders, Inc. and is a member of the American Heart Association of Southeast Michigan Go Red for Women Executive Committee.

Think Detroit PAL was formed in 2006 with the merger of Think Detroit Inc. and the Detroit Police Athletic League.  In partnership with the Detroit Police Department and community volunteers, Think Detroit PAL builds character in young people through athletic, academic and leadership development programs. In 2011, Think Detroit PAL served over 10,000 girls and boys through 10 sports, making it one of the largest youth organizations in the state of Michigan. More than 80 cents of each dollar donated to Think Detroit PAL goes directly into programming
