THINK DETROIT PAL CHEERLEADERS PUT ON A SHOW AT 25TH ANNUAL CHEERLEADING COMPETITION
Detroit, Mich – On Sunday, October 23, Think Detroit PAL held its 25th Annual Cheerleading Competition at Calihan Hall on the campus of U of D Mercy. Nearly 1,000 girls participated in the event that they have been looking forward to for months. The young ladies put in hours of work, and it all paid off in what was a truly exciting event for the girls and for all of those who attended.
The event gained publicity across Metro Detroit as Fox 2’s Roop Raj broadcasted live from Calihan Hall prior to the competition. WDIV Channel 4 sent a cameraperson out to the event as well. The event began with the singing of the National Anthem by TDP cheerleader LaBrenda Brown and TDP cheer coach Tammy Similey.
The competition consisted of the A, B, and C-Team cheerleading squads, but the respective D-Team squads were able to perform prior to the contest beginning.
Regardless of the results, we want to congratulate all of the girls on a great showing.
