Sports change the lives of millions of children everyday. Here at Detroit PAL, we do more than keep kids of the street and out of trouble. We have volunteer coaches who are trained how to use sports as a vehicle to build character in their young athletes.

We teach kids about the value of Teamwork, Diversity, Respect, Discipline, Responsibility, and Leadership. Your gift today will help us provide the character-building programs that make Detroit PAL successful.

Special Events
	The 10th Annual Paul W. Smith Golf Classic will take place on August 12, 2013 at the Detroit Golf Club. The PWSGC has raised over $3.5 million dollars to benefit Detroit PAL since the event’s inception. Visit paulwsmithgolf.com for sponsorship opportunities and more information.

	Former Detroit PAL participant Terrell McGhee and the Finish Line Youth Foundation have donated $1,000 to the organization. Terrell, the manager of the Finish Line store at Fairlane Mall in Dearborn, was given the opportunity to choose an organization for which Finish Line would donate $1,000 to. The former Detroit PAL basketball participant selected Detroit PAL as the recipent. For this kind gesture, we would like to thank Terrell and the Finish Line youth Foundation.
