Making a Leader for Life
My son attended the Think Detroit Pal leaders for Life camp for the first time this year. At first when I mentioned the camp…he was not too excited about it because it was not playing all the time, it was learning things too.
I am proud to say that he has plans for next year all ready. He had such a great time and learned so much. He has truly taken what he has learned and applied it to our house hold…. “SPEAK WITH A PURPOSE” is one of his favorites. He walks around with his head high, not needing a “Stinking fimage!”
This camp has really made a difference in him. One day we were riding in the car and his dad ran a red light. He almost made his father stop the car, and said to him “Dad, this Is one of the things we spoke on at camp. You should still do the right thing even if others aren’t looking.”
Charlz is a changed young man. He takes more pride in his school work and his chores, and has a really good attitude since returning from Camp Ozanam. Its an amazing experience for me to see. Please believe he will be in attendance next year! |
